Originally from the Guangdong province of China, Polly was married and moved to Hong Kong, where she began her study of Chinese painting under various masters. She now lives in New York, where she continues to paint. Adept both at traditional Chinese painting in the detail, or gong-bi, style and the more modern, spontaneous Lingnan style, her subject matter ranges from flowers and birds to figures and landscapes. Polly is a member of the Hong Kong Chinese Art Club and the Lingnan Art Association of America as well as president of the International Chinese Society of Photography and Arts.
